This week I've been putting together a new venture called Women's Wellness Weekends (www.womenswellnessweekends.com), in honor of the spirit of G-ma, and my paternal grandmother, Jean, who was fairly entrepreneurial for her time, owning an apartment complex, a hair salon, and one-third of the construction company, where she served as office manager. Both of these women knew how to work, and they understood the importance of curiosity, a willingness to learn, and how to have fun. And that's the raison d'etre behind Women's Wellness Weekends, places and times for women to cut loose, socialize, learn new things, care for themselves, create community with and find support from other women, and get rested and refreshed by taking two days and an evening away from their normal lives.
We've scheduled the inaugural Women's Wellness Weekend for right after the holidays, in January 29-30, 2016 in Seattle, and our intention is to host six events over the next year. Check out our initial website for more information, or fill out the contact form if you'd like to join us, either in January, or at a future event.
